1. ROAD SAFETY:

"Road Safety is become our top priority" because many lives are loosing their life on road accidents especially in developing countries like India.  As per World Health Organization's Global Burden of Diseases report, the road traffic accidents are one of the main reasons for highest death rate.

We know very well that our Government is taking many steps to avoid terrorist activities in our country after the 26th November 2008 attack at Mumbai, which killed 195 people.

At the same time, more than 200 people (i.e. 1 person for every six minute) die in various road accidents across the country everyday. Therefore, everyday there is a November 26th on Indian roads. We use to hear many stories about someone’s loved one dying on the road and just ignoring it, focusing on our day-to-day life.

One day, it could be anyone of us! Someone from our family; some loved one!

So it is our responsibility to ensure adequate safety on road along with our Government. And it is become the core objective of the Trust. The TPN Charitable Trust will be working on the following activities on Road Safety,

  • Creating awareness among public through Road Shows, issue of notices and sticking safety stickers etc.
  • Conducting awareness seminars and first-aid workshop programs among college/school students.
  • Conducting seminars and awareness campaign for drivers.
  • Providing necessary traffic signs on road sides with the permission from Police Dept.
  • Creating a knowledge base about Road Safety with respect to statistics, precautionary measures, first-aids, traffic regulations and legal aspects.
  • Long term vision to provide free Ambulance facilities and Road side accident care centers for the benefit of public.

3. EDUCATION:

The education scenario in India is quite complex. And so despite the efforts of many grassroots organizations, the poor and needy are still deprived of basic education. Firstly, due to low salaries, there is lack of rightly qualified and trained teachers employed by the development organizations. Secondly, the parents of children coming to these organizations are unaware and ignorant about the importance of education. As a result, the school drop out rate is very high. This also impacts the overall annual performance of a development organization adversely, defeating the very purpose for which it is functioning.

The TPN Charitable Trust realized the importance of education as a tool for economic development of poor families.  Therefore the Trust has the vision to accomplish the following,

  • To give free Computer Education to the poor students.

  • To conduct tuition classes for the poor especially for SSLC and 10+2 Students.

  • To take intensive steps to ensure that every disabled child is given free and compulsory primary education either special education or integrated education, or inclusive education based upon the level of disability of the individual.
  • To promote integration of the handicapped student at every stage depending upon the capacity, level and need of each handicapped child.
